November 2012 User Group Meeting

Roundtables Revisited! There was such a good response to the last meeting where we had roundtables but ran out of time, so we're going to devote the entire meeting this time. Extend your LabVIEW knowledge through hands-on, small group discussions on topics including Application Development, LabVIEW 2012 Sample Projects including Actor Framework, Computational Programming Using LabVIEW, DAQmx and Connectivity. This meeting is open to LabVIEW users or anyone interested in learning more about LabVIEW. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP on NI.com or send email to uvlabview@gmail.com

July 2012 User Group Meeting

Jay Eyring, a Certified LabVIEW Developer working at the BYU Physics Department, will present on the topic: Leveraging the Power of NI LabVIEW to Automate Multichannel Directivity Measurements of a Concert Grand Piano in an Anechoic Chamber. This presentation won an award at the Nov 2011 Acoustical Society of America meeting! To work on these very large datasets required integration of several LabVIEW features and toolkits including TDMS streaming data acquisition, control using NI Statechart module, video processing with NI Vision and analysis of sound field measurements with NI Diadem and NI Sound & Vibration Toolkit. Come and learn from someone who is very knowledgeable and hands-on with LabVIEW. There will also be LabVIEW Tips and Tricks and Q&A.

At the user group meeting, there will be a demo of the LabVIEW Interface for Arduino (LIFA) Toolkit, a great resource for leveraging the power of LabVIEW in a microcontroller environment. The Arduino is very low cost and popular with experimenters, hobbyists and educators. Following the demo, get ready to jumpstart your LabVIEW development this year by participating in one of our small group roundtables, each hosted by an experienced LabVIEW developer. Bring your LabVIEW code, questions, ideas and get hands-on with LabVIEW topics including: LabVIEW Object Oriented Programming, LabVIEW Real-Time, LabVIEW File I/O, and User Interface Development.

This meeting is open to LabVIEW users or anyone interested in learning more about LabVIEW. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP on NI.com or send email to uvlabview@gmail.com.
